Speakers

Husayn Kassai is Onfido’s CEO and co-founder. Onfido helps businesses digitally onboard users by verifying a government-issued ID and comparing it with the person’s facial biometrics using machine learning. Founded in 2012, Onfido has grown to a team of 240 with offices in San Francisco, New York City, London, Lisbon, Paris, New Dehli and Singapore. Onfido has received over $100m in funding and works with over 1,500 fintech, banking and marketplace clients globally – helping them onboard more users while reducing risk. Husayn is a WEF Tech Pioneer and Forbes' “30 Under 30”. He has a BA in Economics and Management from Keble College, Oxford.


Matt Thompson. IDEMIA's SVP Civil Identity is a CISSP and an industry-recognized thought leader in the area of Identity and Security Management, decorated combat veteran with Special Operations Command experience spanning four deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, an Ironman Triathlete, and successful entrepreneur. Matt is an innovator in the digital identity space, having co-founded ID.me, which was named to the "100 Brilliant Companies" list in 2014 by Entrepreneur Magazine, and building effective identity solutions for the public and private sector, which garnered him recognition by One World Identity as one of the "Top 100 Global Leaders in Identity" in 2017 and 2018. Matt's civilian experience includes positions at McKinsey & Company, Goldman Sachs, Capital One, and his current role as Senior Vice President of Civil Identity at IDEMIA.


Maxine Most (@cmaxmost) is the founding Principal of Acuity Market Intelligence, a strategic research, and analysis consultancy which is recognized as the definitive authority on global biometrics market development. Throughout her 30+ year career, Ms. Most has evangelized emerging technology on five continents. Since 2001, she has focused on biometric and digital identity markets where she has earned a stellar reputation for innovative thought leadership and a proven ability to accurately anticipate market defining trends. Ms. Most is also the author of numerous research reports, has contributed to several books, offers insight and analysis in on and off-line publications, is regularly quoted in industry, business, and consumer press, and presents globally at industry events on the evolution of biometrics and digital identity markets. She is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego with a multi-disciplinary degree in Mathematics and Computer Science and minors in Visual Arts and Economics.


Rob Douglas is Chairman & CEO of BioConnect. Over the last fourteen years, he has been providing global market leadership in the biometric identity market. He was formerly Board Member, President and CEO of Bioscrypt Inc from 2003 to 2009 (BYT.TO) which was successfully sold to L-1 Identity Solutions (ID:NYSE) in 2008. Prior to that Rob was instrumental in shaping high growth technology companies as a former leader at IBM, Oracle and Siebel Systems. While at Siebel Systems, Rob led a hyper-growth business unit from $1m to $110m in less than 4 years.
